This Mama in the Morning

Here’s a quick Saturday morning story for you. Because it’s morning! Hooray!

Ready? Here we go.

Once upon a time,
my daughter took a picture of my eyes.

MamaintheMorning0

So she could make me a pretty picture.

And then she texted it to me.

With commentary.

MamaintheMorning3

To which I responded.

MamaintheMorning4

Because she is RIGHT.

In conclusion, HAPPY SATURDAY MORNING, momrades!

Let’s eat some children for breakfast.

…….

P.S. You can make pretty pictures for your family, too. Abby made this one using the Zoo Eyes app. God bless her. I shall add it to Mommy’s Wall of Terror with alacrity.

ABOUT BETH WOOLSEY I'm a writer. And a mess. And mouthy, brave, and strong. I believe we all belong to each other. I believe in the long way 'round. And I believe, always, in grace in the grime and wonder in the wild of a life lived off course from what was, once, a perfectly good plan.

  1. …and I somehow managed to comment on the wrong post. Go me. This was in reference to your dream post…sigh.

  2. This book is really helpful…even though I can’t find time to do it properly with just three kids, reading it and being aware of the general idea can really help you “get” your dreams a bit (enough to let it go and get on with your day 😉 )http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0062514113/ref=aw_ls__13?colid=3B91Y7VMR205X&coliid=I29UC11RQ0LJAW

  3. True fact: I thought that it was a-LAR-city until I was 15. Yeah, I can TOTALLY read!

  4. Can we still be friends if I had to look up alacrity? And by friends I mean that I think you are super cool even WITH creepy Zoo eyes for using alacrity, and you might have seen my name stalk up in your comments before… <3
