The Kiss of Fashion Death

I bought new shoes to wear while traveling.

I asked my teenager what she thought.

She said nothing.

Next I asked Abby’s sweet teenaged friend for her opinion.

After some thought, Elsie said they look “very comfortable” and “like they have a good arch support.”

In conclusion, I received the Kiss of Fashion Death today, and I lived to tell about it. Woot!

  1. I love them. I want some. Most days I wear a pair of ratty fake-Birkenstock slip-on’s because they are so comfy, and that’s really ALL I care about.

  2. That’s hilarious! It’s true, that’s what a diplomatic teenager who hates them would say… but you’ll be so much better off strolling along the Seine in those than the pinchy boots that might potentially look more chic.

  3. i think they’re very cute. we can’t be fashionistas with spike heels and mini skirts forever. embrace this next chapter of your life. it’s called the comfort phase. but don’t completely give up on yourself until at least 60. cute AND comfortable is an art form.

  4. Ummmm, I kind of love them. I would totally wear them. And show them off to people, saying stuff like “Just LOOK at my good-lookin’ shoes” to friends and strangers alike, cuz I tend to do that with my favorite shoes. I would say that your taste in footwear is excellent and better than that of most teenagers. 😉

  5. Um, yea. Those are AWESOME shoes. Count me in on Old Lady fashion, too, then! Besides, you have to take into account that these girls think those weird shoes that look like cutoff boots with laces and stiletto heels to be high fashion. WTC?

      • comfort and arch support are the most important! lol!!! i think they are cute which is more than the teenagers can claim – their cute would never support walking a whole day in – LOL!!!! enjoy your trip in your uber cute, comfy and supportive shoes xoxod
